Kriya Yoga

Kriya Yoga is a simple, psychophysiological method by which the human blood is decarbonized and recharged with oxygen.” So writes Paramhansa Yogananda in his famous Autobiography of a Yogi. Later he adds:

Kriya Yoga is an instrument through which human evolution can be quickened. The ancient yogis discovered that the secret of cosmic consciousness is intimately linked with breath mastery. This is India’s unique and deathless contribution to the world’s treasury of knowledge.”

The Kriya Yoga prepaid study curriculum is designed for those who feel that the practice of Kriya Yoga and discipleship to Paramhansa Yogananda and the line of Self-realization gurus is their spiritual path. The Kriya Yoga curriculum constitutes the courses of study in preparation for kriya yoga but does not include instruction or initiation into kriya yoga itself. A disciple's readiness is determined in part by satisfactory completion practice of the courses which comprise this curriculum (which is a combination of study and instruction and practice in the preparatory meditation techniques). This curriculum may be taken course-by-course outside the Institute and is offered as a prepaid alternative for a student's convenience and economy.
