Application, enrollment, and prerequisites

Courses

The Institute’s courses are open to the public. There is an application form that we ask you to complete with a $50, nonrefundable application fee. The application is designed to help a student and the Institute ascertain the feasibility of the student’s participation, taking into account one’s work, family, and other life commitments, background and intention, general health, and financial condition.

Teacher training programs appeal as much to students wanting to deepen their practice and knowledge as to students who would like to become teachers (or teachers wishing to broaden their teaching skills).

Enrollment in the Institute entitles a student to have assigned a staff teacher as a mentor and spiritual coach.

Teacher Trainings

To enroll in either the Ananda Yoga Teacher or the Meditation Teacher training courses, a student must have an existing practice of yoga (or meditation). Both require satisfactory and documented completion of the foundation core course, the Raja Yoga Intensive.

These programs are also the foundation for those Ananda members who may later teach on behalf of Ananda.
